Looking for feedback on my first build

Hello! I've recently decided I'd like to try puppet building, having been fascinated by puppets and puppetry since I was a child. This is something of a departure for me - I haven't done any kind of crafts like this since school, and I wouldn't say I'm a naturally artistic or creative person, but it's been a lot of fun! I was wondering if there's anyone here who would be willing to give me some feedback on my first attempt - I'd love to know what I've got right and what I could do better for my next build. I thought I'd try a simple monster design before tackling a replica or anything more complex.

There are a few mistakes I know about - I've made the fabric mouth plate too small, and I didn't quite manage to position it right over the mouth plate itself before the glue dried, so his mouth's a little lopsided and doesn't open very far. I think I probably made the eyes too small and far apart - that's the main reason he has glasses, I was trying to cover that up a little! My choice of materials was restricted a little by what was available locally too, so the fur isn't quite what I originally had in mind, and the polyester fleece I used for the hands isn't the best at hiding seams. But I'm happy with it, as a first attempt!

If anyone's got any pointers on how I can improve, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

Not a builder myself -- but this is impressive! Please keep posting what you'll come up with next!

Thank you Grumpo, very kind! I think any outside perspective would be valuable, so opinions from non-builders are equally welcome (I'm sure I'd find comments on the design very helpful as well as the construction, for instance).

I'm itching to start another project so I'll be happy to share that when I've made some progress. I think it's going to be another monster, to accompany this character, but maybe with some different material and design choices - I want to see if I can get some practice on the things I didn't get quite right the first time.
