Just curious--how did you arrive at that episode number and airdate? I would think finding out what episode you were in as a kid all those years ago would be very difficult information to come by, unless someone gave your family the info back then.

Well, it was good old fashioned detective work. I still have the W2 from my paycheck dated 1975...I knew that it had to have been from the previous year. All Sesame Street episodes are sponsored by a letter & a number. The only think I remebered for sure was that the number 4 was a big part of the show. I read the synopses of all the shows in that range, until one seemed very familiar. I watched a few clips from that episode (none with me however) and started to remember it. I am 99% sure that this is it.

You STILL have that W2?

Whoa. Your parents must be the most meticulous, organized people in the world. They must never have to scramble for missing records during tax season or anything.

So the synopses you read were on the Muppet Wiki, right? Amazing. This detective work wouldn't have been possible a decade ago.
