Once again, thanks for all your kind words (and for the song Vic Romano, made me smile!) I have definately been praying about it and the thing is, even if I apply for it, there's no guarantee I would actually get it, so I think I might go for it. If it doesn't happen, I know something else will come along in time, just gotta keep the faith.

p.s. Ziffel - thank you for reminding me of one of my favorite verses, I can't believe I hadn't thought of it throughout this whole thing!

You bet. And you also might want to look at James 1:5. Another wonderful promise and very relevant to your situation.

it's probably not the best idea in the world to work as a youth minister if you don't like it. i mean you gotta figure when you do any kind of religeous work, this is 1 job where you should enjoy it or find some other line of work. i'm sure most people who work in the ministry would agree.

If it were me I would probably struggle over it a lot as you are, and I would be reluctant to leave the job and risk hurt feelings, but in the end I think that's your best bet. You don't want to give up a job you might have a real passion for to stay in a job you don't enjoy, and where the kids deserve someone who wants to be there.

I believe that whenever possible, we should do what makes us happy. Please let us know what you finally decide.
