Hi all!

First time poster, but I hear this is the place for all things puppets! So I am a recent puppet building addict who recently completed a Roly. I am now creating an original puppet and I have completed the head and inserted the mouth plate.

My question is how do I go about pinning and marking the fleece around the head so that I can sew it up and slip it on like a glove? Basically creating the pattern for it.

Anyone now of any good tutorials out there? I checked the other tutorial thread and didn't see one (although I may have missed it).

Thanks in advance!

I use the foam pattern, add a seam allowance, pin it to the head, and sew it right there. Easy-peasy.

There are some really great tutorials on youtube too..
One in particular by (i think) Adam Kreutinger who demonstrates a very simple method involving draping and pinning fabric over the head (scrap fabric that will be used as your pattern)..
Im sure someone will post a link shortly

Edit to add-
Here is one.. Not the one i was thinking of but similar
