I don't think it's far-fetched for Simon and Poco to be on a cup alongside other characters. I read all the posts before looking at the link, and thought it was toys of the characters, which would be a surprise, but if they're just illustrated on a cup with other main characters, I don't think that'd be as big a deal. Many minor/obscure characters have appeared in illustrated merchandise over the years, and I don't think Simon is that minor/obscure, though he rarely appears in any books or illustrated merchandise (I imagine it would be hard to write the way he talks into a book, but he could still make on-screen non-speaking appearances).

Well, still it's a pretty rare find, and this is one that I had never seen before on ANY website (not counting the cups/mugs that originally came from the SST General Store).

I've had that mug since I was five or six. I had no idea it was rare.
