I've never really done much puppetry as an adult. Unless you count fooling around with my daughter's toys. But I wonder if it would be possible for someone to do a live action version of Clifford with a full body (or bodies) puppet as that behemoth of a dog

Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN did do a live action Clifford show. There were two performers inside a large, large (I'd say 8-10' tall) costume and granted the mouth action on the dog was limited, but it has been done.

I was a bit confused at first as I was geared up for a live Clifford as in Muppets Tonight host, and I was wondering what the dog reference was about as he is more like a carp. Then I realised you are talking about a dog cartoon character that I havent seen much of.I suppose they could make him like they did for Barkly from Sesame Street.

OK Dollywood has come close but based on what I've seen of the cartoon Clifford the BIG Red Dog is a lot larger. Remember we are talking about a dog that would make Jabba the Hutt seem anorexic
