lifesize puppets BERT & ERNIE!!!

Hi Folks, I recently purchased some life size(by muppet standards) BERT and ERNIE PUPPETS and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about them. They are about 4' and 5' tall so are muppet size! They are vintage and are pretty early I do believe. They are for sale of course but I am really wondering if they were for a production or a store window or just for a child's toy????????? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely what you have was used in JC Penny stores in the mid-to-late seventies. There is a Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and possibly others as well.
