Hmm, it’s okay, but far too short. You’ve got the talent write a longer, more involving blog post. The short ones just aren’t as gripping. But it’s not terrible, so don’t think I’m saying that. There’s just a lot of room for improvement.

I wrote a song based on Moby Dick today:

“Perseverance”

Here aloft I stand
Looking at the bow
The ocean spans the gap
But we’re getting closer now
I will not turn away
This is my decree
Oh thou foul-hearted whale
God send ye to me!

Further
And further
Onwards we shall sail
Sight ye
The whiteness
We will prevail

And further and further and onwards we sail
Till we see the white of the whale
And we will never turn away
Our hunt will never fail

Over bow and breach
The Pequod follows through
Our ship will find ye whale
And then we’ll murder you
This leg of mine gone for good
A wooden stump remains
You took my limb, but I’ll take your life
I’ve got no more shame!

Westward
And eastward
It does not matter the course
Don’t try
To run and hide
Our harpoons will get you

And further and further and onwards we sail
Till we see the white of the whale
And we will never turn away
Our hunt will prevail

I will chase him with every last breath
Oh White Whale, I shall send you to your death!

Full speed!
Keep on!
It rests on your heads
White Whale
Holy grail
If I don’t kill this whale I’d sooner be dead

And further and further and onwards we sail
Till we see the white of whale
And we will never turn away
Our hunt will never fail

So don’t try to get ye away
Hear now what I say
I will kill that god-******* whale
WE SHALL PREVAIL!
