You know sumptin? That is the best Beatle cover tune ever. I think Walmart is using it in a commercial now, showing people volunteering to help disaster victims or something.

The Beatles had a zillion people cover their songs. Most versions are crap. But Joe Cocker nailed it.

Originally when Paul wrote it for Ringo to sing, the line was "Would you throw tomatoes at me?"
So glad he changed it. Pity poor Ringo or Joe Cocker getting pelted with tomato bombs.

Eventually the line was used years later on Animaniacs (see "Woodstock Slappy").
Tell them the fuzzy guy sent ya.
