Hello everyone its great to see so many Muppets fans all in once place! I am a LEGO fan designer on LEGO Ideas and have created a The Muppet Christmas Carol LEGO set. The main mission for LEGO Ideas designers is to reach 10k supporters to have their design reviewed by LEGO and have the chance to be made into an official LEGO set! I hope it is okay to share this with you all here I feel that it a well deserved set for the Muppets and would be amazing for Muppets fans. https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/b777f43f-f60e-4791-9a4b-abd250eeb81b More details below photo...
Details are as follows...
The set consists of a town like display with Scrooge’s House, Scrooge and Marley’s office building and Bob Cratchit’s family home.
These 3 buildings are joined together by brick archways, giving the effect of a Victorian town. The are all connected with hinges in the base, which means the build can be folded back so all the buildings can be positioned in a straight line rather than curve, which helps if you wish to display on a shelf or against a wall. The building exteriors are all decorated to match each area with a cobblestone floor, covered with build up snow. There are crates, barrels and lampposts located throughout the exterior and three different building types, and build techniques to reflect the different areas of the town - As you can see in the main image,
The three main areas and details are as follows:
Scrooge’s House
with a grand entrance, railing and pillars externally, with square boxed windows downstairs and the tall arched windows upstairs. Heading inside through the front door into the living room area, there is a grand fireplace, with a chair in front of the fire, which is on a turntable so it can rotate to face the fire or face into the room. There is a plate with bread and cheese on ready for Scrooge to eat. There is a small cupboard with drawers with a mug placed on top. There is a coal bucket with a fire poker, on top of the fire there is a lamp and a bottle, on the wall there is a clock, and there is also a bell which rings when someone is at the door.
Heading upstairs, you will see Scrooge’s grand 4 poster bed. The bed is designed so that the covers are on a hinge and can be lifted up to place Scrooge in the bed and the covers go down over Scrooge to give a sleeping in bed effect.
At the bottom of the bed, there is a small table with a candle, x2 boxes and a bedpan under the table. There is a bannister at the end of the floor to reflect where the room ends. If you look up into the attic, you will notice there are x2 crank handles and reels. These are designed to lower down the ‘Ghost of Christmas Past’ into Scrooge’s bedroom area and Marley and Marley into Scrooge’s living room area. When not in use or fully wound back up they can be hidden in the attic area. This helps to recreate the scenes from the movie when the ghosts appear and disappear.
Scrooge & Marleys Office Building
This 5 sided grand building has decorative windows on the outside, a large grand entrance and a Scrooge and Marley plaque on display. Heading inside into the workers office area, you are greeted with a gloomy, dark workplace with wood panels on the walls , a bookcase in the corner and a pin board on the adjacent wall. There x3 desks in the middle of the room with Bob Cratchit’s desk being the largest out of the x3 desks. There is paperwork on each desk with an inkwell, pen (could potentially be a quill) and ink pot. There is also a candle on one of the desks and x2 small candle lamps on the walls to illuminate the area.
There are stickers placed around to reflect the rat workers in the office, even with the Hawaiian style outfits! Upstairs, heading into Scrooge’s office there is large desk with Scrooge’s paperwork and a book. There is also a lamp on the desk, inkwell, cup and a teapot. There is a coat stand in the room , the x2 small candle lamps on the wall and a coal burner and bucket of coal to ensure Scrooge’s office stays warm.
Bob Cratchit’s House
A more warm, friendly and inviting building with it’s brick bottom, timber frames and Christmas wreath on the front door, the outside wall hides a little secret if you look closely - there is a section missing for the Mice family who asks Scrooge’ for some cheese in the movie.
Heading inside through the door, you notice that is small and enclosed for such a big family, There is a cabinet to the left on the door with jars and various items on display, a clock on the wall to the right of the door, Tiny Tim’s crutch resting against the wall next to the fireplace. There is also a large oven with opening door, with pots and pans on top and hanging from the wall,, with a flue which goes up and out the sloped roof at the side.
There are Christmas decorations hanging from each corner of the room, a fireplace with small ornament, a candle and a cup on top, with fire utensil at the side, Inside the fireplace, there is a small fire going with a spit with a small bird cooking over it. This can be rotated with the axle that comes out of the side of the fireplace.
The main table in the images shown reflect more of the end of the movie, with the table being full of Christmas Food, such as a Turkey and drink.
Heading upstairs there is one larger room with four beds inside to match each of the children's clothing colours and a candle on the wall, and one smaller room with one larger bed, with a side table with a candle on top, and a clock on the wall.
Heading back outside, there is the ‘Ghost of Christmas Present’ and ‘Ghost of Christmas Yet to come’ waiting for Scrooge to take him on his journey. There is also Charles Dicken’s aka Gonzo with a sticker version of Rizzo the Rat outside ready to join the adventure.
He set contains a total of 14 characters in brick form, which are; Scrooge in Office attire, Scrooge in robe, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas yet to come, Jacob Marley and Robert Marley aka Marley Brothers, Charles Dicken’s aka Gonzo, Bob Cratchit, Emily Cratchit, Betina Cratchit, Belinda Cratchit, Peter Cratchit and Tiny Tim Cratchit.
The set consists of 4630 pieces, which is great for the amount of features and details that it contains. This will be a great set for fans of the film to display and play with having the option of front facing town building display option, or the interior multiple building option. You could even choose to not connect the hinges and have each build displayed independently as you wish.
