I was at a TRU yesterday and I saw a 2 pack figurine set called "Wooden playland" featuring plastic and wood based figures of Sesame Street characters. They have Elmo (natch!) Grover, Big Bird, Oscar, Grover, and Abby.
Of course, while cute, I would NEVER buy thses myself. I don't understand (other than the fact they're biodegradable) why people think wooden toys are educational. I mean, wooden building blocks aside. Things randomly made of wood are no less educational than plastic, and they don't splinter into dust in 3 years.
