Are you perchance meaning to refer to HILDA?

Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. Hilda. Man, she reminds me of the smell of old-lady house. Natrual gas & stale grease.

I thought she was kinda cool. But that might be because my Grandmother sounds and acts just like her. Just my Gramma cusses. XD

I have no memory of my grandmother. I never knew her. You're the only hope for the Alliance now.

Does anyone know why they got rid of most of the female characters from the first season??
I really miss Hilda, Mildred & Zelda, and Miss Mousey too. One day she just disappeared...(I bet the pig took out a hit on her!!!!) Now there's really just Piggy, Janice & Camilla.
Zelda Rose appeared in later seasons. In "Milton Berle" she sang "Who?" with her singing owl. She is also in some of the later At the Dance sketches & often in the audience.

As for Miss Mousey, aside from the SEason 2 opening theme, I don't think she appears until BErnadette Peters.

I don;t know, but I can guess.
My guess is that at that time, the Muppets were still very much into developing characters to particular performers. Many of those Season 1 characters that were more or less dropped were Eren Ozkar's. She left the show. So they developed a new bunch of characters more characteristic of her replacement. (who incidentally, had performed Mildred, and , Zelda as part of her TMS audition). - hence the introduction very early on in Season II of Lou-The-Jugband-Lady, and later on of course Annie Sue.
