Labyrinth Question?

Hi guys. I have a Labyrinth-related question for you. I keep hearing rumors that the movie was based on a book. Is this true? If so, who wrote Labyrinth the book? And is it the same book Sarah is seen holding and quoting from in the opening scenes? Just curious.

Hmmm, that's interesting!
I don't know if it would be the same book seen in the movie, but you never know! Actually, a place I remember seeing it mentioned now that I think of it is the Labrinth quiz found on this site. So take the quiz, and you may have your answer, plus a little fun on the side!

Labyrinth is not based of a book. It has elements of journey stories like Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, but it was an original creation. There is a novel based on the movie by ACH Smith, but it was created after the movie, not vice versa.

There is a great Labyrinth website out there that has a copy of the original script written by Terry Jones of Monty Python fame.
