Maybe it was when you said that the videos were for free viewing, and they we found out they were not as free as we thought they were. So now were debuting the legality of the clips.

i was joking btw.....its unlikely anyone who would actually watch a whole film on youtube would actually buy the film anyway.

According to YouTube's Copyright Tips:
  • It doesn't matter how long or short the clip is, or exactly how it got to YouTube. If you taped it off cable, videotaped your TV screen, or downloaded it from some other website, it is still copyrighted, and requires the copyright owner's permission to distribute.
  • It doesn't matter whether or not you give credit to the owner/author/songwriter—it is still copyrighted.
  • It doesn't matter that you are not selling the video for money—it is still copyrighted.
  • It doesn't matter whether or not the video contains a copyright notice—it is still copyrighted.
  • It doesn't matter whether other similar videos appear on our site—it is still copyrighted.

That kind of sucks though. How else are you going to see some of these rarer items that may never come out of the Henson archives?

:attitude: The Legal Answer: If Henson wants you to see these rarer itemsthey will make them legally avalible. If they don't want you to see them, they won't. It's there right and they have the power over which of their creations can be distributed and viewed. Other than knocking on Henson's door to begging, the only other legal way to get the old stuff is to find a time machine and go back to when it was broadcast.
