1) Kermit tells the viewer that they will do some exercises with two bears (which are on a blue screen "Chromakey" effect behind him). Kermit tries his best to have the bears cooperate, but they of course could care less. (Then again, they can't really hear him. )
2) It's good. Kermit gives a couple of ad-libs, commenting on one of the bear's breath and how they get to have lunch early.
3) I think there was some light Raposo music in the background.
I remember this clip many years ago, so I was really glad to be reunited with it again.
Are you sure it was bears and not gorillas? Cause all i know was that Harry and George, the animals names, we're following Kermit's exercise...well Harry yes, George no. Then at the end, when it came to push-ups, neither would do them so Kermit walks of in rage.
Yes, those were bears. Harry was the big bear and George was the smaller one. Also there was Hubert the Polar Bear who just made a quick appearance in stretching exercises. And in the end when Kermit left in frustration, it showed George waving goodbye.
I thought of this one today and hadn't come across it here at MC yet, but I just did a search and found it here in this thread. Another one it's been about 30 years since I've seen. Also another one I enjoyed a lot. Classic Kermit with his frustrated voice. And great for the children to see a combination of a muppet and some zoo animals in a sketch with some education mixed with humor. Kudos once again to the brilliance of SS!

I recall the breath line. One of the bears yawns I think, and Kermit says, "Whew! Bad breath!"

I was gonna say, I thought there was a polar bear somewhere in this too!
I was recalling his name as Hugo, though. But Hubert sounds like it fits too. I remember Kermit saying that name in frustration at one point.
Speaking of Hubert, I think that was the name of a pet of The Count's. I remember one skit where after he blows out the candles and it's all dark, he bumps into a chair and then steps on his cat. He tells the cat, "You should be outside playing with Hubert." I think there was at least one other skit that hr mentions him. Maybe he was a dog (or a werewolf!).
