Kermit Star Coverage?

Could the entertainment magazines be waiting to air clips of the frog receiving his star until the Christmas special is released? Just an idea, but I think that may be the reason for skipping Kermit coverage. Good Day Live did get an exclusive with Kermit a little while before the ceremony, but I didn't see any coverage of the actual event.
