That's a nice pic of Kermit and all, but his head looks huge for some reason..LOL! But again, it's just a puppet sitting on a shelf of some sort behind glass. Which brings to "Toy Story 2" when Buzz asks Woody if he' rather see children behind glass or be loved and played with? I kinda feel that way for this ol' Kermit puppet..LOL silly i know
I called the place on Saturday, and the lady on the phone said that Kermit's not visiting the place, but they've used him as part of the Frog set up that they have going on...
Great pictures OWE!! But I was in D.C. back in 2003 and we walked around the Smithsonian branch where they had film and T.V. memorabilia and I didn't see Kermit. I also heard that Bert and Ernie was supposed to be there and I wasn't there either. I DID however see Oscar the Grouch and one of the original Sesame lampost signs which I took a photo of that was awesome. Where the heck are the rest of the Muppets at the Smithsonian?
Interesting.I was at the Smithsonian in 1991 and saw Kermit, who was next to a Howdy Doody puppet.I took a picture of him, but it was too dark as I couldnt use a flash as it would reflect off the glass. But from memory, this doesnt look like it is the same Kermit!
Howdy Doody was still there. He was in the same case as Oscar.
The secret to taking flash pictures of the cases is to take them at an angle so the flash bounces off in another direction and not straight back into the camera lens. Of course, that doesn't do you any good 14 years later.
