On May 13, 2008, Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear stopped by the 97.1FM Los Angeles studio to hang out with Frosty, Heidi and Frank in order to promote the release of "The Muppet Show: Season 3" on DVD.
You can listen to the 20-minute audio interview here:

Not sure if it's the proper venue for them, but whatever. Heidi is really...really...annoying...

 Fozzie and Kermit are the fantastic professionals as always! :embarrassed:

These horrible radio personalities make the "Dingo & the Baby" Family Guy episode look like less of a parody! All of these guys go for the cheapest jokes. This is what's killing radio. They had comedy gold and went for the nasty jokes.

Thanks for sharing this. Love the bear and the frog!

I agree 100% asking about rainbows and gays and aids and stuff was a bit uncalled for.
Fozzie was very on, but steve slipps into his own voice a few times.
Fozzie was very funny for once the bears losing his touch! lol:embarrassed:

The problem is they are no talent hacks that don't know how to turn off the "shock jock" persona. It's always the same jokes with these cookie cutter morning radio shows. Also a lot of the bad jokes were forced. I mean, the ayds weight loss candy is funny is a dark humor way, but there is no reason to ask Kermit that other than the host trying to be a "shock jock". Fozzie saying Kermit tells him nothing was funny. Wonder why Kermit seemed shocked to hear about the movie idea that was being thrown around. Maybe no real substance to the rumor?

I agree. The candy joke was so stale.

I think Kermit was avoiding the movie question because he likely isn't permitted to talk much about it and they are pushing the DVDs. I wanted to know more about that too.

And that one caller kind of mentioned that Kermit sounded like Michael J. Fox. I felt bad, but Steve does have a way of slipping out of Kermit sometimes. He does a great job, but this wasn't his best. The Bear was ON!

Seemed to me Kermit "or steve if you will" was surprised by the question. It was actually kind of said as you can tell he really wished there was a project for him other than lame radio shows.

Problem with radio shows like this is the callers are jerks just like the hosts so they make fun of the performers. And it was really sad that every caller said they loved sesame street...but how about some muppet show love? It obviously wasn't sesame street.

Sadly the interview made me realize why the muppets can't come back. People are mostly jerks that would rather have awful crude humor all the time instead of clever humor. I mean come on...pork finger? seriously? That's ssssooo hacky and beyond immature. And this is coming from a fan of Opie and Anthony.

Nasty jokes about AIDS? I ain't listening to this. And I thought the Nipple joke in MWOZ and Kermit's infamous "porn is fine" bits were pushing it.

This reminds me of the time Elmo did an interview back in 1998 for the premire of Elmo in Grouchland on a local radio station. Now, it was a morning show, clearly milder to this one, but still pretty rough. They were on their best behavior until Elmo said "We have Vanessa Williams as the Queen of Trash."

Well, the radio guys made a not too off color comeback to that, and Kevin did something that I'll NEVER forget.

He just pauses for 2 seconds and says "GOODBYE! GOODBYE!" and hangs up.

I wish I taped it.

Dumb question, but I'm just trying to get the full picture: Did he say it in his regular voice or in Elmo's voice?
