Well, I think Sesame Workshop does have the right to show earlier clips with . After all, he appears regularly on 'Plaza Sesamo.' So why they don't play his clips on the current SS, besides in the famous "Doo dee rubber duck" is beyond me.

I think I have heard that Plaza Sesamo and other non-U.S. versions of Sesame Street show older segments on a more regular basis than the current U. S. Sesame Street episodes do. That might explain it.
