thought this was a rather wierd one. the kitten who's in the kitchen kitting a kerchiff, a kike and a poka dot mitten. that last one doesn't even begin with K. when the annoucer asks why she's knitting them witch he asked 3 times she says because it's Thursday. of course from the looks of it she was knitting a K because she holds it up at the end. some of these segments presented on SS could be wierd sometimes. >

I remember that one. It was cute. To this day, though, I still don't get the punchline. After the narrator asks "why are you knittin' a kerchief, a kite, and a polka dot mitten?" the kitten replies, "Because it's Thursday."

If anyone knows the reference or joke, if any, behind that line, feel free to clue me in.

I could be wrong, but I've always thought that there was no real point to that punchline and it was just a sort of nonsense joke.

If you listen closely after she says "Because it's Thursday", you'll hear the narrator say "What?" before he says "K".
