Oh I'm so glad Kathy! I heard about it on the news and I thought of you when they said Florida. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as they said it would be. I get the feeling ALL storms will be hyped this year because of Katrina, but I suppose, better safe than sorry.

Huh? Wha hurricane? Well, after the first of June and through to the 30th of November, tis the Atlantic Season.
BTW: Welcome to my world Kath... We've learned a long time ago here in PR to just keep track of hurricanes and only worry about them when an actual warning's been issued, and that's what dominates the local newscasts. The rest of time? We're pretty much assured that they'll just veer upwards in a sort of curve and all we get is a week's worth of rain showers.
But I'm glad you're safe and purrfectly sound.

Thanks everyone!
Fragglemuppet....I don't know anyone that was hit.
Java....we had some tornado warnings & some winds that were over 35MPH,but we weren't in any danger.(btw...welcome to Muppet Central)
Muppet Matt...I'm glad it missed Tampa.(I used to live a half hour from there. It's nice !)
Beth...I agree w/you about all the storms being hyped because of the mess last year.
Ed....I'll take your advice about not worrying unless an actual hurricane has been issued.

So far they've determined that one or two tornados came through the low country (the coastal part of the state for those who don't know) and there were limbs knocked down and broken windows. Other than that everyone is safe and sound thank the heavens.

I work in the neonatal intensive care unit at the medical university of the state so I have to keep up with the storms. If one is predicted there is a chance I have to be called in to work for 72hrs or more . . .

Thanks to everyone for inquiring. Glad to hear that Florida is doing well and it was just mostly rain for you all too.

Glad to hear it! I hope you don't have to do that kind of overtime any time soon!
