June Angela received both Broadway's Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations as Best Leading Actress in a Musical for "Shogun". Extensive theatre credits include Tuptim in the Broadway & London Palladium revival of "The King and I" with Yul Brynner and winning a Theatre Guild Award as Best Lead Actress for the play "Tea" in Los Angeles. She was honored by Off-Broadway's Pan Asian Repertory Theatre at a Gala hosted by David Henry Hwang and was featured on the Grammy Award winning album of "The Electric Company". She won an Emmy Award of Honor for her work on the series as well. Her debut solo CD released on Original Cast Records features full orchestra on songs from shows she has done, including a medley from "The Electric Company", as well as jazz songs.
