XERUS’S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Today’s V/A focus is that comedian Jonathan Winters. The 84 year old comedian had performed in a lot of movies, radio, comedy albums, and TV shows over the years, like the Lennie Pike the moving truck driver in It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and Mork and Mindy’s giant sized baby boy, Mearth. Jonathan had also voiced a lot of cartoon characters, especially little old ladies like Maude Frickert, a character from his comedy albums and had appeared in a couple of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. He was the voice of Grandpa Smurf in the 80’s Smurfs cartoon and it was announced that Jonathan would be voicing Papa Smurf in the future Smurfs movie.

And also Jonathan Winters was a guest star on The Muppet Show. The episode where a gypsy put a curse on everyone.
