I never thought much of the 2, to tell you the truth. They were very annoying and all they did was talk about Bannana's. They kind of reminded me of a short lived Monster from the 80's named Leo, who always shouted "Parrrrtaaaaayyyyy" I think Leo was a much funnier and more entertaining charachter then Davey and Joey ever were. Davey and Joey suck and it's charachters like them who ruined Sesame Street.

Well, I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions, SesameStreetFan.

I, for one, really liked them and it wasn't til later that I picked up how they were named after their performers Joey Mazzarino and David Rudman. Was this one of their first pairings? The two seem to be paired up a lot the same way many other performers are or have been:
Jim Henson & Frank Oz
Jerry Nelson & Richard Hunt
Carrol Spinney & Martin P. Robinson
Joey Mazzarino & David Rudman
Dave Goelz & Steve Whitmire

Sure, the Monkeys talked a lot about bananas, but that's just who they were. Maybe that's why they were written out because some felt they were a one joke act. I really got a kick out of them though and they were so cute.

So do you feel Sesame Street has been ruined because of them?

Not to mention Bill and Brian.

Oh, and I remember Loe, he was so cool SS fan!

Bryan they were on a new episode of Sesame Street but they weren't named the same. It was during a Gobal Grover segment. But they were preformed by the same people too. But I do to miss them. I have one episode of the older SS back in the day that had them for an epsiode story. It's the one where they ask to be wrote into a story of their own. I would love to see them come back. And Benny too. I loved that character of Kevin's.
