Think this was brought up before but anyone know the last thing Henson did for SS with Kermit?

I believe Mrs. Pepper is right, unless he did some Kermit stuff on Sesame Street after.

I'm almost positive this is the absolute last thing Jim did with Kermit on SS. It was that song called "Get Along" and it had Kermit, The Twiddlebugs, who were on the ground below him, trying to push a (big) penny back to their home, The Yip Yip Martians, some greasy haired motorcycle muppets who were starting up their cycles at the beggining of the skit. Kermit complained because he was trying to read a book and they were all disturbing him. So instead of getting upset, he decided they should all sing a song together called "Get Along" This was made during the 1989-1990 season and I'm almost certain it's the last time we ever saw the original Kermit on Sesame Street.

It may have been written in 1989, but performed and recorded later.

Even if it was both written and recorded in 1989, it still very well may have been Jim's last Kermit performance. Throughout the 80's when Jim's charachters were no longer regulars on the show and appearing in the main storylines, he would come to the set for about 4 days or so out of the year, during those 4 days he would make a handful of segments featuring his charachters. Some featuring Guy Smiley, some featuring Ernie, and some with Kermit. The fall of 1989 would have been the last time Jim Henson did this. Just a friendly reminder. :stick_out_tongue:

What I meant was, Jim's charachters weren't regulars on the show during the 80's like they were during the 70's. In the 70's (from what I'm told) it was common to see Ernie, Kermit, and even sometimes Guy Smiley out on the main Sesame Street set, interacting with the humans, or with Big Bird or Oscar. Starting in the early 80's, Jim (and Frank Oz) didn't work on Sesame Street as much anymore, and only worked on the show a few days a year and recorded a handful of skits for each of their charachters, that were played throughout the season.
