I'm sorry your experience was less than fun. Bear in mind that companies and corporations have people whose sole job, or at the least a substantial part of their day, is dealing with, sorting through and directing to its proper destinations the enormous volume of e-mails they receive from all over the world, not just from here. Before e-mail, it was physical letters through snailmail that they had to deal with, stacks and stacks of it every day.
In broadcast, in cable, and in entertainment, it often falls to young interns to do this and to answer FAQs and fanmail. Sometimes the entire system is automated and responds only to questions and word content that it can identify. Too, you may have gotten an intern who was having a horrible day, a first day, or a horrible first day.
It is widely felt that with the absence of Jim Henson has come a gradual, creeping loss of humanity within the company. I'd guess that most of us probably want in our hearts of hearts for it ALL to be Muppety, not corporate. Unfortunately, entertainment is a business. We can look forward, and hope the Henson kids bring some of the old friendly magic back over time. This forum is the best place you can be for support and information. Don't be discouraged. Keep on keepin' on. (Something we used to say in the late 1960s, early '70s. Hippie Encouragement.)
