I'm shocked not to have seen a discussion thread about this, but in honor of Jim Henson's birthday, Henson, Disney, and the Children's Television Workshop worked it out between them to have characters owned by each company -- Muppets, Fraggles, Sesame Street -- appear together for the first time in decades:

As Muppet fans, I think we're all agreed that we're happy to see it and fully didn't expect to.

Does it make you hopeful for more crossovers in the future? If so, what sort of crossovers do you think we might see, or what would you like to see?

Someone did post the video under the thread "September 24: Celebrating Jim and Steve Whitmire." You can find it here, but you might have to scroll a bit before you see it:

I really enjoyed seeing it as well, and I'm thankful that you made the effort for more people to see it!

It was a really nice Henson tribute. I definitely miss seeing Kermit interacting with the Sesame characters.

ust saw a commercial touting the new Disney +/Hulu/Max Bundle. So, in the wake of this fun video for Jim's birthday and the bundle that's being announced, does that mean that The Muppets and Sesame Street are now going to be able to crossover with each other once again with greater ease?

Think the 3 respective companies are testing the waters to see if the fans and/or the general public want to see more crossovers? The video from the Jim Henson Company only has 160K views, that's hardly going viral, but the fan excitement is there.

What do you suppose we'd see out of additional crossovers? At this point, I'd only figure on short videos at most before they'd invest in something large-scale like a TV special or movie.
