Check out the new look of my site. It contains portions of the my portfolio from the graduation show. I intend to smooth some of the edges, but I am very pleased with the results and comments so far. www.jamesvier.com And the Crossbreed will be coming later this year!

Jamie, some very nice stuff indeed! I've always enjoyed your illustrations and I was happy to see the Fozzie sketch that I'd not seen before.

I wasn't expecting the soft gay porn though. While I admire the style of filmaking, I'm glad I wasn't browsing with my daughter. Family viewers beware.

I'd say the m3g section has to be my favorite... aside from your work for Muppet Central that is. Very sleek and stylized.

Fine work.

LOL! It's not porn. No imagery you wouldn't see on television - though there is intense editing. Very funny. I should list the rating on that but it is explained in the paragraph before it.

Jamie, you never cease to amaze me with your talent! A good mind, fresh eyes help to bring promise.

Yes, I sound like Hallmark.

BTW, that is so nowhere near porn on your site. It's different (as most art is) not obscene (as most porn is).

Congratulations!!!

Jamie!

So good to finally see your site launch...an online portfolio in flash no less!

Wow, I had no idea you were profecient in so many web tools and graphic things, along with so much work for other projects.

My friend's hacker friend just installed a few thousand dollars worth of graphic design programs(Lightwave, 3d max, maya, bryce, photoshop 7, etc) into my friends hardrive, so as soon as I get a computer Im all hooked up!

I really like how you do web comic styled and realistic portrait art. good stuff.

Man, and you even did a short film?(something I so have wanted to do these last few years)

Well, if I had a resume it'd read:

Objective: Too many projects to even mention, some of which include indie film making, comic book publishing, putting out an album of electronic dance music, and video game programming.

Skills: Microsoft Word, type writer, glue, pens, paste

Education: The empiracle thought process of Cory institute
Manhattan Pottery Barn Consotium for the prophetic hierophant
and the Tunisian school of fine arts and interior decorating

Wow, I have a really strange sense of humour.

You crack me up, Cory! Well, I was a film major to begin with (Film, Graphic Design then Multimedia because it contains it all) so that's why I included the short film.

I didn't mean to imply that I was angry in the least about my film being labeled as "porn" but I do disagree. I actually thought it was funny.

It is a startlingly powerful piece that many people might not expect from me, but many of my film work is much darker than my design/multimedia works. I can see how it may have thrown people. I did consider leaving it out, but let my professors make the call and they were thrilled with the piece.

The thought behind it was to evoke the angst I had when making the film and not anything else. There is no real nudity. Now everybody's going to be curious about this thing! I'm still working on a better digital copy.

Anyway, I’m glad to hear all the good comments about the site. M3G was really a rough site to pull-off. I had to coordinate the work of 30 students of different majors and meet the deadline. I really poured so much work into that thing. I think fondly of that project, but Muppet Central is by far my favorite project to date and most mature in terms of quality and collaborating with Phillip. Yes, he had a heck of a lot to do with the menus I designed!

Keep checking back at the site for changes and expect more from Muppet Central. This seems to be just the start of great things to come!

thanx Jamie...I try to cover up my lack of professional experience and 'education proved with a piece of paper' with humour:wink:

1) What other shorts have you done? 2) Have you ever submitted a short film to a filmfest(I think they have several g/l filmfests in sf, and even a nice sized on here in sac)

Aw, this sounds good! I love hints like this. Indeed, there is still a lot of stuff to look forward to in the remainder of 2002.
We have the highly anticipated launch of kermitage.com,
the official announcement of muppetfest 2003 with details hopefully soon, Ken's big announcement(tho that might have to wait for Toy Fare) the xmas NBC movie, series 2 of the Palisades figure line, etc.
