Yeah, another childhood hero passes (I always loved Scotty). But at least he had a good innings.

Wow, that's horrible news. Of the entire Star Trek cast (of all series), Scotty was always my favorite. I can't tell you how many times "I canna giver more power, Cap'n!" was interjected into family conversations. May he rest in peace.
