Hmm, at the time I saw Avatar I didn't really think of any resemblance to TDC. But now that you point it out, the part where Jake's Avatar first looks around the forest and everything does seem to have the same sorta feel to it. But I don't think I would have noticed it myself.
But hey, the scenery in Avatar was so breathtakingly beautiful that I don't think I noticed much else in the movie I'm pretty sure I want to live in that forest.
