When I first heard of this film it sounded like one of those films where people could make a Bert and Ernie Joke or 2 but it goes way beyond that. here's a site that talks about the film and even shows an Image gallery along with some other goodies.

Check it out!

I watched clips of it on YouTube and couldn't stand it. It depends on what you enjoy watching, but it really is full of cheap dirty humor, if it can be classified as humor.

I know I had nightmares for weeks just thinking about it. some of the puppets that were built were very lifelike and very cute looking like Samantha for example. to be honest that's why this film inspired the ideas for my Inside the cube show. (some of the screenshots from the gallery on the site can be very convincing)

Cult Classic.

That's why I keep reiterating that even though I enjoyed elements of Peter Jackson's movie I still consider it "The most offensive film ever made." I like the link you provided that shows for Jackson this film was actually a labor of love. (Well, love, a hippo and a machine gun.) He spent all the time effort and money he could to make this low budget pet project.

The fact that there are a few people who don't mind crude humor in this composition is what makes Feebles a cult classic. Each time these threads are opened they usually have forum members on both sides of the issue, but no one should arbitrarily be discouraged or encouraged to see the film. I lay out the facts as someone who owns a copy (somewhere around here), remark about my experience and warn that it is not for every taste. There doesn't need to be judgment either way. Just stating that case to allow for free discussion for all. I have my opinions on the matter, but have understanding and respect for others. Again, no pointed statements, just felt the need to clearly state that. :coy:

Well you know me....I love to help. BTW what do you mean by the whole "labor of love" Thing?

I kinda see where you're going with this.....heck I wouldn't be surprised (more like shocked actually:batty:  ) if they released an 20th anniversary edition of the film (Considering that the film was made in 1989) but I'm glad were on the same page here.

Peter Jackson wrote the Feebles script and shot it largely using his profits from a previous film. When he couldn't reach the deadline he submitted what he could while sneaking off to the studio at night to complete the film on a shoe string budget and under a fake title. That's dedication to your vision. I still feel Feebles is akin to a twisted mental patient's homage to the Muppets. There are no bad intentions, but the crude nature is inherent (and off putting to many).

I can't help but admire Jackson's dedication to his craft. It shows in all he does - even Feebles.

Wonder what inspired him to make the movie in the first place?

Boy KB, you really like this movie, lol...

I just can't stomach it and I can stomach a lot of things. But yeah, cult classics often are out there like this movie. :coy:
