Last year the Muppets turend 50 yrs old.
Every fan celebrated 50 yrs of the frog, but yet no specials were shown on tv, none like 30 yrs of the muppets.

What promted me to do this thread was a dream, a dream that felt so real.
Am I the only one who feels that Disney is threatened by the frog?
Next year is Mickey Mouse's Birthday. Is Disney so afraid to be over shadowed by a frog, and not just an ordinary frog star but Our beloved Kermit? I just wanted to know, am I the only one who feels this way?

:concern:

It is interesting

It is interesting but remember that the 30th anny show was also a tribute to the late Jim Henson. A 50th anny show would be nice but I'm not sure how they can do it without him.

Actually, I'm not sure when the 30th aniversery special was, (as in what year), but I think it was some time in the 1980's. Jim Henson died in 1990, and The Muppets Celibrate Jim Henson was an entirely different special.
