Okay, I was all geared up to participate in the great Puppet video project and...

No web site today (and no forum, natch). Um, Buck, are you working on it to allow uploading, or are there more serious problems?

Umm...yeah that's a good question. I've kinda been wondering about that too. Discovered the problem yesterday. I logged in to my user control panel and it said that the site was "unavailable due to a billing problem". Except that last month I paid the hosting company (Doteasy) for a full year of service. So I'm a little ticked off. I've emailed them for an explanation but so far received to response.

Actually all of my sites hosted through Doteasy are down. I am wondering if they have a larger problem at their end. I'll keep you posted.

Just a quick update re: this....

Apparently they had to bill me for something (I still can't figure out what) and the credit card info for my account was not up-to-date. I've submitted the new info and I am just awaiting re-activation of the site. Should be back online by tomorrow night.

Yes, I want to participate... but didn't want to be the first (um, I'm not shy under *normal* circumstances, but I'm not exactly confident in the pupper performing arena). So far we don't seem to have upload capabilities just yet, so I'm guessing Buck might want to consider extending the "friendship" topic until the end of this year rather than closing it out at the end of November.

In general this might be a better idea -- a couple of months to have an open topic means more people can watch other videos and respond rather than trying to turn around ideas in that short a time frame. But in particular this time of year (with all the holidays) is a tough time to get things done. I know my time has been very limited (but I *will* jump in on the show even if I have to carve out a "sick day" at work).

Since there's been a delay, I was going to suggest a Christmas theme and then roll friendship over to January. What does everyone think?

That would be just fine with me, but can I suggest " Winter Holidays" rather than Christmas?

While I have no problem with Christmas there may be others who don't celebrate it and may feel left out. I'm not trying to be too PC here -- if everyone wants to do Christmas I'm on board -- but it just seems to me it might be a little more inclusive (and at this point it looks like we need to be as inclusive as possible).

Buck, I know you're still around, because you're still posting here. What's up with the site? If it's not going to be viable for this, perhaps we should start looking elsewhere.

Or has interest just totally died on this? (My fear all along was that momentum would be lost).
