Didn't know where else to put this, but this is just a little behind-the-scenes look at the testing of Green Lantern: TAS that I thought was pretty inspirational. Most of the kids aged 6-11 in the focus group were genuinely interested about the episode they were shown (some of the older ones acting all "too cool for school", of course), but the moderators saw it otherwise; Bruce Timm ultimately stuck to his guns even though it ended up getting cancelled after 26 episodes anyway.
I'm sure things went the same way for '90s cartoons, especially others from Timm.
And of course, the boys liked the action-y parts while the girls liked the romantic parts. What else is new?
