Hi y'all,

During my eBay searches for Muppet items I came across the next auction:

http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAP...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=200113492006&rd=1&rd=1

I'm wondering now ... I never saw this Muppet character before. Did anyone else?
Sure enough, the auction owner says there is a mention of "Muppets" in the bottom of the item, but I'm not even sure this is genuine Henson material. It is supposed to be a penholder. It says the manufacturer of the item is "Pen Ball Pepermate", but I don't find back any references for that company either ...

Any light that can be shed on this mystery is welcome ... :zany:

Yes that's what he looks like to me too.

Sherlock Hemlock the world's greatest detective.

I think he was probably one of my favourite Sesame Street characters as a young boy.

Ahah! I see ... so he is a Muppet after all ... I guess that because he was on Sesame Street rather than on the Muppet Show is the reason why I didn't know him. Over here in Belgium we did get the Muppet Show 'uncut' and subtitled, but Sesame Street was hashed up by the Dutch Television networks and completed with own material. I never cared so much for Sesame Street as a result.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for the info. You guys are great.
