Anyway, I heard the word "anyways" being used a whole lot my whole life. I could never even get used to saying such a word.
I can't. friggin'. STAND. that word! It ticks me off sooo badly when people say "anyways". I mean, don't they realize they sound like a freakin' 5 year old when they say it?

I just started Knights of the Old Republic II and they say "anyways" a lot in it and it drives me nuts -_-

I'll take anyways over "Gianormous." plus, if *I hear one more old white guy use the word bling (either vocally or in a commercial they wrote) I'm gonna go insane. Rappers don't even use that anymore. it's the rough equivalent of someone still saying "gettin' Jiggy with it" or "In da House." You might as well say "That was strictly L 7, Daddio!" or "Bully! That was just Bully!" Heck, even use Foresooth and you sound less dated than "Bling"

I think there is a difference in the definition between "people" and "persons", and I think it's mostly seen in legal documents and things of that sort. People means a (connected) group of more than one person, but Persons could mean more than one individual person (that has no connection to the others). See the difference?

As for moneys, that has to be a joke because the only people I hear say that are characters like Pepe and Strong Bad who are mexican/latino stereotypes!

... Or the chairman of the Susan Ross Foundation...

WICK: As you know, the Rosses have considerable moneys.
GEORGE: Oh, I know they have some "moneys"...
WICK: They have more than SOME moneys... many, many moneys.

The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary does list "moneys" as an inflected form. Also "monies" as an outdated use of the plural form. The phrases just aren't used much.

Another thing I know I am guilty of that I picked up from a friend is the phrase "I know right?"

Friend says to me: Wow, you sure have done alot of painting in your house
Me: I know right?

It makes me sound so conceited I hate that!
Ugh, that's happening to me, too. I hang out on forums too much, it's affecting my brain :insatiable:

I know! I hear educated people use that (and not as a slang term either) and I can't believe it.
