AOL... still exists? I thought AOL went out with the 2000s. :stick_out_tongue:

Aol doesn't even need a phone number. Just your age.

Only problem I've found is that a select number of websites seem to not be able to send mail to aol. I wonder if MC still has that issue.

I have about...eh...5 or AOL emails, mostly shells but still.

Seems like most forums in general had issues with AOL emails... I remember a few members who had registered at my old KGZ forum years ago telling me they had never gotten their confirmation emails with their passwords, and it turned out, the forum server wasn't able to send said confirmation emails to AOL addresses.

Alright, I think I'm gonna have to switch again to Hotmail/Outlook/whatever they call it, gmail has way too much downtime.

Gmail has no downtime. Ever.
There must be something wrong at your end. Email Google or check out your internet connection. What are you accessing it from? (PC, Mac, iPad, etc.)

I've already done that the other day, and they've given me like a hundred different probabilities as to what could be causing the problem, the most probable of which is probably difficulties with an add-on, so the next time it's down, I'm going to disable the add-ons to see if any of them could be causing the problem.

I bet more than likely it's AdFender; I was having problems with Photobucket not being able to upload certain pics a while back, and it turned out to be AdFender.

what exactly is it doing when it's "down?"

What kind of error is it giving? Is the page not loading? that kinda thing

It does nothing, the page is just blank. The address bar and the cursor indicate it's loading, but nothing happens, it just remains blank; sometimes it'll be for a few hours, sometimes it'll be the whole day.

It hasn't happened again yet (though it kind of seems to on a weekly basis), but if and when it does, I'm going to see if AdFender, or any other kind of add-on is somehow playing a key factor in it.

That definitely sounds like an addon is blocking it then.

Adblock used to completely block neopets from loading. Just a white page would show up.

So it was down again, so I disabled AdFender, closed the browser, relaunched it, and sure enough, apparently AdFender was the culprit all along... why, I have no clue, but okay, I'll stick with Gmail.
