I know this may not be on-topic, but here's a semi-gross story of my experience at school:

Me and my friends were sitting at this one table with a kid who had ADHD and his name was Tyler. He was always asking my buddy Robert for curly fries and he'd give in and give him some. ( I would never touch the school food--the pizza and Hamburgers bounce literally!) But then one of my buds Cody saw ( now heres the gross part--yeah you can change the channel all those with weak stomaches )a fry on the ground and---yes-- he told Tyler and he ate it! EW! Well then kids started spitting on crackers and everything and giving it to him and he ate it! Ick!

Well the moral of that story was always be grateful for what you have and be thankful you're not like Tyler. Now, excuse me I've got the Dry Heaves again...:stick_out_tongue:

I'm sorry anythingmuppet, but you should be ashamed of yourself and your friends!

Did you read the post from Fozzie Bear? Think about how fortunate you are and do something positive with that rather than pick on somebody less fortunate! :attitude:

Thankful I'm not like Tyler? Pleeeaassse! I'm thankful I'm not like your buddy Cody!

Oh, no I wasnt picking on him at all. I had nothing to do with it. My friends, yes I told them off when it happened you see. But they apologized to him and apparently he accpeted it.

There are times I wish I was more involved in politics. It's a chance to make a difference if nothing else. However if it's something you TRULY from the deep dark bottom of your heart do NOT want to try, then I agree with the suggestion of picking out other activities you could do and let your Mom have a choice/input on those. Hang in there. It's never as bad as we make it out to be.

D'Snowth, if you really can't stand it, strike a deal with your mom. You can tel her, "I understand that you signed me up as a part of this group for my own well-being, but I don't think it's for me. Instead of dropping it altogether, is it possible that I can choose my own extra-curricular, something that interests me more?" That way, both you and your mum can be happy.

THAT´s the way babies
There are a lot of extra activities to chose, why should your mom decide for you? And a question I have, did your mom asked you before she signed you up in that club? She should had. The thing is that you are not happy...and a mom should not sacrifice a son/daugther happiness to increase a résumé...not way.
Talk to her quickly

sometimes parents know best
May I disagree, parents are humans too, so they can commit errors, can´t they? Anyway, it´s D´Snowth´s life, who has to decide?
