Dude, I don't hate anyone. Hatred doesnt do us anything good, it just blocks us off from the Lord and I WANT and I TRY to avoid it. Unfortunately, I get involved in fights sometimes because if I think someone is doing something wrong, my natural tendency is to tell them off. I know it's not very nice, but I'm young yet and still immature. I realize that. I try my best to be the nicest person and the most mature person I can be and I still think I'm far away from that. When you faked your death, I was shocked. But then when Barry delivered the news that you WEREN'T dead, I felt tricked. I couldn't believe someone had the audacity to do such a thing. Now I'm simply feeling a little ornary and spiteful simply because I thought you thought you could come back and expect everyone to be particulary friendly to you after what you've done. You can't expect that from us. Not since that traumatizing moment when Barry delievered the news that you "died". However, it was, like others said, a brave move on your part and I've come to realize what the others such as Gonzo and Red have said. Let's move on and make this "Muppet Central", not "Drama Central". Even that nasty Baba had a point; this place can get overly dramatic. So anyway, I'm going to hope and pray that you are true and that you won't do such a nasty thing ever again, Bob, or else I'll never gonna be able to believe you again, I'm sorry.

I tend to agree with Vic here. A fresh new user name would have been easy, with or without the intention to use it badly. But "outing" himself (so to speak) as bobhopesite, risking the wrath of everyone here to apologize, does take a lot. It takes real courage to acknowledge the people you've hurt, and try to make things right with them--just creating a new ID and posting again wouldn't do the job.

So I say welcome back--not everybody's going to trust you, bobhopesite, but I would hope that most people can at least allow you to try to earn that trust. And if we get burned again, then so be it--at least we'll know that we were optimistic enough, forgiving enough, to give someone a second chance. Or a third chance. That does each of us a bigger favor than it does for bobhopesite.

Because if we're not open to somebody trying to right a wrong, trying to heal a hurt--if we can't believe that somebody can find what he's looking for and make himself a better person--then what are we all doing here at Muppet Central anyway?

Believe me, I am not holding on to this out of malice; I am holding on to this partly out of human curiosity, (I admit that), but also out of ritious indignation, and also I feel that I need to have some answers before I can forgive him with a clear conscience.
