Haven't Gonzo and Rizzo said that MFS is based on actual events from Gonzo's life? So the movie is a movie (and thus fictional), but the general gist of the movie is 'real.'

It's all make believe.
Well, except for that little Craig Kilborn interview...that got kind of hairy!

Gonzo and Rizzo said that MFS was based on real events (like TMM) but Dave Golez has said that Gonzo being an alien is just a movie. I think that things like MFS are "real" until the Henson Company dedcides that it is easier to have them not be. Also, cannon can be difficult to decide, for instance, what is MFC? It is supposed to be real, there are nods from the audience, but the Muppet babies appear. One last thing, TMS is cannon. the fact it takes placec in a theater only means it's in the muppet universe. I mean we already know that Kermit's birth would have eliminated some reality shows.

Gonzo is definately not an alien...MFS was just a movie.
However, the Jim Fralwey screen test IS reality. Some of the finest unscripted Muppet moments ever. There is a difference between real life(Muppetfest, talk shows, Macy's, Hollywood Squares, Walk of fame appearence, etc), canon(TMS, Muppet Movie, The Today Sho, Muppets Tonight, etc) and then just plain fantasy(MTI, MCC, MFS, etc)
