In case there's anyone in here who loves good quality music & lives in either Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota - read on.
The World Youth Choir is most definitely one of the best choirs in the World. This year its summer residence will be in Chicago, where the choir will rehearse for 11 days under the baton of Tonu Kaljuste from Estonia (there are different conductors every single session).
The choir will do concerts and apperances in:
Chicago
Sunday, July 28th - 16:00 - Apostolic Church of God, 6320 S. Dorchester.
Wednesday July 31st - 12:15 - Concert in Dame Myra Hess concert series (broadcast on a major classical music radio station in Chicago)
Thursday August 1st - 18:30 - Concert at Grant Park Music Festival
Friday August 2nd - 19:00 - Concert at Pick Staiger Concert Hall in Evanston.
Saturday August 3rd - 12:00 - Concert at South Shore Jazz Festival Chicago
Kalamazoo, Michigan
Sunday August 4th - 17:00 - Concert at First Presbyterian Church (concert subtitle: "They sure don't look like Presbyterians to me!")
Madison, Wisconsin
Tuesday August 6th - 19:00 - Concert at Luther Memorial Church, 1021 University Av.
St. Paul, Minnesota
Thursday August 8th - 20:00 - Concert for WCS6 delegates at Cathedral of St. Paul
Friday August 9th - 20:00 - Concert for "the public" at Cathedral of St. Paul
