Ideas for new word family skits

What if they decide to make brand new skits of those classic word family songs?

Herry and Grover could sing about the AT family with the words, BAT, CAT, HAT, and SAT.

Telly and Baby Bear could sing about the EN family with the words, HEN, MEN, PEN, and TEN.

Ernie and Bert could sing about the IP family with the words, LIP, RIP, TIP, and ZIP.

Zoe and Elmo could sing about the OG family with the words, DOG, FOG, JOG, and LOG.

Prairie and Cookie Monster could sing about the UB family with the words, CUB, RUB, SUB, and TUB.

I think thats a great idea! Not only would it give some of the classic characters more air time, it would also help get SS back on track doing what they were created for in the first place, REALLY helping kids learn!

Here are some more possible word family ideas:

How about Big Bird and Snuffy doing the ay family with words like say, may, hay, and pay.

There could also be a new twist on the "word families", like adding 2 letters instead of just one at the beginning to make words like play, clay, stay, and tray. And this could be done with the other "word families", as well.

In addition, you just GOTTA bring back the girl AM and her brother in for a retro remake of one of the original versions of the word family clip. I loved how the girl would whip her ponytail around her head like a helicopter. Tee hee.
