Do you remember this song that Kermit sang? It's from 1990 or so and it starts out with a bunch of anything muppets looking on the ground seeing what they can find and Kermit says that it's better to look up above or something like this. Now I'm not 100% sure but I think this is the VERY LAST THING Jim Henson did with Kermit on Sesame Street before he died. It's so sad listening to this song knowing that it was Jim's final appearance on Sesame Street as Kermit. It's a Beautiful song and I cry every time I hear it. Does anyone else know of it?

I love that song. I have it on the cassette tape that was released after Jim Henson died of his best hits on Sesame Street. It is such an upbeat happy song that can always put a smile on my face. I also really like the message of just noticing the world around you and all the wonders in it. It's a great message for not only kids but also adults. Actually I'd say especially adults how many times seem so focused on what's right in front of them and have lost the curiousity they had as a child. I never realized that it was the last thing Jim Henson did with Kermit on Sesame Street. That really gives it new meaning to me. I unfortunatly don't remember the sketch that it was on but it sounds cool. I would love to see it sometime.

I know what you mean Janice Groupie! Knowing that it's the last thing Jim Henson ever did on Sesame Street before he passed away a few months later does give the song new meaning and if you listen to it you will realize it is an awsome way of Jim Henson saying goodbye to Sesame Street and the awsome world around him (although at the time he had no clue he would soon die) Very touching and moving Grand Finale for Jim. Rest in Peace Jim Henson

I only have the faintest memory of this, but it's so true to Jim's character to embrace the world with that childlike innocence and sense of wonder.

Hard to believe come May it will be 15 years since Jim left us, but I'm very much in awe of how he managed to influence all our lives, and he did so in such a gentle, loving way.

All of you who are adults like me now- never lose that innocence and sense of joy you had when you watched as a kid. Look for the magic and all the love that's around you. Jim's loving spirit touched so many, and how lucky we are he touched us.

Yes, that skit always gets to me too. Seeing Kermit showing us the wonders of the sky.

Also when I see Kermit and those kids together. It's kind of like Jim Henson spending time with a new generation of puppeteers. Teaching them wisdom on a nice day.

I will always miss Jim.
