Bewitched just suffered from very poor writing and planning. It was a great concept though. They could do a Jeannie movie if they had a tight script. The Brady Bunch films did the right thing, in my opinion, they parodied the show in a good natured and hilariously accurate way.

Who should play Jeannie?

You know...I think Janice would be a good choice. I could see her as Jeannie...

See?

I bet Byron wouldn't argue with that!:flirt:

But then I read this post by Ilikemuppets: "One thing that worries me about this current generation of entertainers is the lack of talent that not there. I mean it's just very hard to come by these days and is too few and far between. At least in true talents case."

Yeah! Nuts to all these talentless "McCelebrities"! They need to find someone with true talent to play Jeannie...one who is energetic, talented, pretty, full of magic and a lot of fun to watch. Personally, I'd vote for Karen Prell. She fits all those categories, doesn't she?:excited:

Janice...that's intriguing...hmm

You know, if you want to see genuine talent, watch a guest star on ANY episode of The Muppet Show. You can see it, that's what true talent is. The standards just aren't as high now.

Right! Those were 120 half hour chunks of talent right there! And not just the guest stars were talented, EVERYONE on the Muppet Show (and other Henson productions) were extremely talented!

LOL! I could just hear Janice singing...

"I Dream of Janice with the Light Blonde Hair...fer sure!"

Oh definitely, the Muppet people were talented too of course. I was just talking about the "celebrity" types who would likely be cast in a Jeanine movie.

What I think they should do is probably a Jeannie movie with a young actress, such as Kirsten Dunst, or Charlise Pheron and then you get Barbara Eden to kinda be the teacher. Kinda like a passing the torch. THEN you can have a prequel, I Dream of Jeannie.

I mean, Sherly Temple, Judy Garland, Ginger Rogers, Audry Hepburn and countless others...The discipline, the level of talent, the enthusiasm is just not there any more. And the Term "McCelebrities" is dead on. And the standard really arn't as high, anymore. By the way, sorr for the spelling error.:embarrassed: The bar has already been set so high that anything better would be more exceptable as bad as that may sound.

Janice has more talent in her pinky the some of these "youngins" running around studio city and what not.

I don't know, prequels are usually no fun... perhaps that's why The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas never lived up to the original... I think Steven Spielberg said it was because John Goodman turned down the offer to reprise Fred Flintstone is why he made "Rock Vegas" a prequel instead of a sequel.

Viva Rock Vegas probably would have been better with John Goodman, since it is John Goodman (though his replacement was fine). But prequel or sequel, second movies tend not to be as good as the original.
