However, Sony has a PS3 download shop that charges 2.99 per television episode that is quite lucrative. For some reason people still buy itunes programs at high fees even though many of their seaoned downloads are missing episodes.
If hulu let use download, then there wouldn't be a big problem. Not that I use it, but when I see something online, I don't expect to pay for it unless I get to keep it. It's basically like charging people to listen to songs without letting them buy them. And again, this would do NOTHING to stop piracy... in fact, it would basically benefit it... people putting more stuff on hundreds of illegal sites... downloading through torrents... all for free. Really, I know the industry is apparently hurting... but the internet is the best way to get these shows some recognition they'd otherwise lose to lack of support of the show during its regular time slot. And hey, if anything, it shows what's popular a crapload more reliable than Nielsen boxes.
Really... we have several years before the internet gets as tight and restrictive as television and everything else the media conglomerates have a hold on. Why muck everything up now?
