This year has been a rollar coaster. The ride started back in March when I got my layoff notice, (like so many other people). The ride continued the next day when my wife told me she was pregnant. Since then it's had it's up and downs but thankfully, mostly ups.
We're expecting the newest muppet-fan any time now, and we're very excited.
I actually happened to come across some old VoguePatterns of Baby Kermit and Baby Piggy.
http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Muppet_Babies_doll_patterns_(Vogue) Working on putting them together now, I'll be sure to post pics of the finished products.
Actually, if anyone has the Fozzie pattern, I'd love to complete the set for my kids.

well, the year pretty much sucked, though i suppose it all turned out ok in the end.. last year just before Christmas my husband left on deployment (he is back now though, so yay!) for Christmas, my basement flooded, twice on Christmas eve, new years eve i got a call from a friend of the family who wanted to know if i could possibly have one of her kids come live with me for a bit while some things got looked into (her hubby had been up to some things.. he's now in jail, they're now divorced and the kids are all still in foster care while things finish getting settled out...) she was with me for about a week before the state stepped in. basement flooded a couple more times, turned out the pipe out to the septic tank was cracked, but had to wait til the ground thawed to get it fixed. water heater died on me and flooded the basement again (luckily we have cement floor down there.. no long term damage..) let's see.. then i got a crazy panic call from one of my step kids who had called the cops on her mom and they i couldn't get hold of anyone for about a month.. some serious messes there that couldn't do anything about while hubby was gone... then the volcano went off and sent ash every where.. had lots of trouble breathing but thought was the ash.. eventually had to go the doctor where found out it was much, much worse then just ash.. heart was enlarged, bp was insane crazy you gonna die high, severely anemic, blood couldn't hold onto oxygen.. spent the summer going in for test after test trying to find out what was going on... (turns out i have SEVERE sleep apnea which caused most of this...) all of this while hubby was away, of course.... and then the dogs had problems as well, one of them has a heart problem now too, and another one has some odd skin rashes that we still aren't sure about.. best we've been able to figure, he suddenly became allergic to his shampoo... then my computer died.. fan died which then fried the motherboard...*sigh*
then when it was finally time for my hubby to come home.. it got delayed cuz they forgot to order a plane for them to come home on... the last month since he got home has been good though...

as for the decade.. overall, would have to say it has been positive. I was living in SLC during the olympics, was able to be in several choir performances with some great musicians. then got married, moved to alaska.. gained 4 step children. did loose my dad and both grandfathers, got diagnosed as infertile (*sigh*) but we've had a good deal of fun, managed to buy a house, i have some muppety things, have my little dog collection.. and my oldest stepdaughter made us grandparents.. (I am much, much too young to have a 2 yr old grandbaby...)

what do i hope to finally be able to do in 2019? would love to finally get everything done and ready so we can actually adopt.. every time we've tried to get started something has happened to postpone it.. but, darn it.. i want a baby!

Well, as for how my decade was, I went through elementary school and then I got stuck in middle school. :grouchy: Does that explain enough for you? I wanna graduate already!

How was your year? 2009 had a lot of rocky points with health and sanity. Overall it was survived.
How would you say your decade overall was? Overall it was seriously awesome! At the end of 1999 I moved to college and met a boy, and we started dating. We got married last year (08). The past decade has been all him... and getting through college, moving, buying a home, switching careers and getting our baby (he may be a chinchilla to you, but he's my little guy!). I can't believe how much growing up was accomplished! There was a lot of junk times woven in there, but they don't really count in the overall picture.
And what things do you hope for/biggest wishes or look forward to the most in 2010? Maybe I'll go back to school? Maybe I'll be in better health? Maybe I'll do all of those things I always want to do but never have time for? I don't know, but it will be a fun adventure.
