How to Make a Puppet's Body

I have never made a puppet before and i want to try. im just thinking, " how am i going to form the body?" i want to make one sort of like prairie dawn. please help!:cool:

Well, you can go about making it in different ways, but I what normally do, is take a sheet of foam and draw six long diamond like shapes. I cut them out and glue them together. In the end I get a football like shape, and you got a body. Hope this helps!

The easiest way is to just make a tube.

If I'm recalling correctly, Prairie Dawn's body is just a tube. Most of her 'shape' is created by the costuming. It can create curves and other shaping just like the proper cuts of clothing can disguise or create curves and bulges in various places for people.
