HBO had five broadcast seasons. However they episodes were produced in four seasons. HIT is planning on releasing the episodes in the even-sized production season groupings. That means there will be four DVD box sets, so we have one more to go until the entire show is available.

Does anyone know if there's any possibility of having the Fraggle Rock cartoon series get released as a separate DVD box set? Or as a bonus with this last Season 4 (and 5) Fraggle Rock DVD box set? That would really Rock! :excited:

The Fraggle Rock cartoon series had 1 season in 1987, for a total of 13 half-hour long episodes. Here's the episode list. As you can see, some shows actually contained two 15-minute episodes, and some shows were just one 30 minute long episode.

1 - A Growing Relationship / Where No Fraggle Has Gone Before
2 - Big Trouble / Necessity
3 - Gobo's Song / Homebody Matt
4 - Laundry Never Lies / What Boober's Nose Knows
5 - Mokeys Flood of Creativity / What the Doozers Did
6 - No Fraggle Is An Island
7 - Red's Drippy Dilema / The Funniest Joke In The Universe
8 - The Best of The Best / Ambassador Gorg
9 - The Great Fraggle Freeze
10 - The Great Radish Round Up / Lucky Fargy
11 - The Radish Fairy / Fraggle Babble
12 - Wembley & the Bemble / Fraggle For All Seasons
13 - Wembley's Trip To Outer Space / Fraggle Fool's Day

I would love to see this series released in its own set- it would only take like, maybe 2 discs and perhaps a third one for some bonus material.
Of course, if you purchase the individual DVDs that were released of live action Fraggle Rock episodes, most all of these also have some episodes of the cartoon series included. (Though unfortunately, the whole series has still not been released in its entirety)

I remember growing up watching Fraggle Rock the live action show and the cartoon pretty much around the same time in the late '80s and I enjoyed both equally. In fact, I think the cartoon may even have aired after the live action show where I lived... though I don't recall for sure- it's been a while. But even so, there's some episodes of the Fraggle Rock cartoon I still remembered quite vividly when I saw them again on the individual DVDs.:smirk: :excited:

Doc and Sprocket appear just like in the live action series. In fact, so do the Gorgs, the Doozers, Marjory the Trash Heap, Philo, Gunge, I think even Cantus, Uncle Traveling Matt and most all the characters from the live action Fraggle Rock series. It's very much just an animated version of the live action series (with of course, different voice actors for the cartoon- but pretty good ones I'd say.)
