I dont know many new Sesame St DVDs there are going to be,
but I guess it is going to be a good year for those who like the oid and new

I guess this will be a DVD release of the documentary about international Sesame Street shows.

Most likely a three-pack, probably consisting of Elmo Says Boo, A Magical Halloween Adventure, and something else (Monster Hits is the only other video I can think of that would qualify for a three-pack). I wouldn't imagine an all-new Sesame Street productiojn being released on DVD just for the sake of a three-pack, and so far Sesame Street hasn't had any single-disc releases released in three-packs alongside seperate single-disc releases.

Obviously, this will be an old school set that we've been waiting for for a long time, though we still don't know how it will be arranged.

I think this will be a new production. It's about time that the Sesame Street cast does their own version of A Christmas Carol (Oscar would probably be Scrooge).

I have a feeling that this will be a Sesame Beginnings DVD, though it's not stated here.

Can't wait for the old school sets. I also have to see this christmas carol thing.

You know, it seems like this is a bad year for classic Sesame Street sketches being released on DVD, outside of the Old School set. It seems like there were no new DVD releases of videos previously unavailable on DVD, and most other Sesame Street DVDs featured all new footage (the Sesame Beginnings DVDs). Elmo's World DVDs were released, but those only have Elmo's World. Guess That Shape and Color pretty much just had two street stories from recent years, plus a handful of other skits. Shameful.

It would have been nice if something like Getting Ready to Read or The Best of Ernie and Bert were given DVD releases this year. Considering the starting school theme for next season, it would be good if Getting Ready for School got a DVD release (and hey, there was also a Sesame Street album with that title. Maybe that will get released on DVD....).

I don't know if The World According to Sesame Street has any classic american clips, but I have a feeling that there aren't any complete skits included.

A doc. on international would be nice, but I won't hold my breath.
