How do I get a cool avatar?

I see that everyone has a cool avatar and I don't have a clue how to get one. Help,please,I want to be cool too!

Muppetdanny's got some avatars there that you can use.

If you want a custom one, there are people who can make one for you and they're familiar with what hasn't been used yet. Just post what character(s) you want.
